#1 – Remove coarse and heavy dirt with water
In the case of heavy and coarse dirt, it is advisable to pre-clean the entire vehicle with a high-pressure cleaner and water. This prevents scratches from forming during the wash. This also ensures that the cleaner gets everywhere and that the pre-cleaner can achieve its full cleaning performance.
#2 – Clean rims
First remove heavy dirt and sand with the high-pressure cleaner. Then spray the rim with a rim cleaner. Allow this to work on the rim for a short time. For sensitive rims, such as chrome rims and highly polished aluminum rims, we recommend an acid-free rim cleaner, such as the Rims & Dust Cleaner, as it is powerful due to high-quality surfactants, but still very gentle on the material. For insensitive and acid-resistant rims, such as painted aluminum rims, you can use an acidic rim cleaner. If stubborn dirt is still visible after cleaning, it can be loosened in a second step with a rim cleaning brush.
#3– Pre-cleaning the vehicle
For pre-cleaning, we recommend spraying the entire vehicle from bottom to top with the pre-cleaner. Allow it to take effect for a short time. Make sure not to let the cleaner dry! Then wash the vehicle thoroughly with a high-pressure cleaner.
#4– Remove insect residue
Insect residues should be removed carefully to avoid chemical burns on the paint surface. These can be dissolved using an insect remover. After a short exposure time, the residues can be removed when washing the vehicle. More stubborn residues can be gently removed from the paint surface using a damp cloth or the microfiber mesh side of the scrubber pad.
#5– Car wash
We generally recommend hand washing to clean the surfaces gently. Start with the flat surfaces and work from top to bottom. Heavily soiled areas, such as sills or bumpers, should be cleaned at the end of the vehicle wash to avoid scratches on the other surfaces, as coarse dirt could get caught in the wash mitt or sponge. Car shampoos with or without a sealing effect are suitable for washing the vehicle by hand. You can use a wash mitt or sponge as a washing accessory. If you want to use a cleaning brush at a self-service car wash, you should make sure that the brush is really clean, otherwise it could cause severe scratches.

Optional cleaning steps as required
Clean door edges and door sills
Limescale tends to build up in the door sills in particular, leaving white residues. If this cannot be removed with an all-purpose cleaner or Fast-Shine 3 in ONE, it can be removed with an acidic cleaner such as Special Cleaner Acidic. However, always test acidic cleaners on a hidden or inconspicuous area to ensure they are compatible with the material.
Remove tar and tree resin
Tar, bitumen or even tree resin often cannot be removed with a conventional cleaner. Tar EXX or Tar & Bitumen Remover can be used to remove tar, bitumen, tree resin, preservative waxes and oils from solvent-resistant surfaces.
Remove rust from paint
If you discover rust on your paint, you should remove it as quickly as possible to avoid deeper damage caused by corrosion. With Iron EXX or Rust & Dust EXX you can gently remove rust from the paint before major damage occurs.
